Beryllium Copper

EMI Shielding Gaskets

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Tecknit Beryllium CopperEMI Shielding Gaskets
are durable metal strips used as gasket material to
provide high shielding effectiveness in closure ap-
plications where low closure forces are required.
Where extremely low closure force is required,
Softstock gaskets are available in all standard
cross sections.

The following graph compares the
force/deflection of Softstock to standard
Beryllium Copper gasketing.

Both Softstock and standardBeryllium Copper gaskets are ideal for applications where closureforce is applied parallel to the mating surface and the gasketis "wiped" rather than perpendicularly compressed. BerylliumCopper gaskets retain a high resistance to relaxation - virtuallyeliminating compression set.
